We started small and stayed small while diversifying our portfolio which allows us to offer a broad spectrum of experience while still offering one on one customer service. That mission starts with high efficiency and dedicated employees. We have upgraded to some of the most intelligent equipment on the market and more importantly have been able to build a team of employees whose experience and desire for quality is unsurpassed. Our company offers small family business values with large scale expertise.
History
Helmin Gravel originated in the 1970s, and overtime became Helmin Construction, Inc. It was started with a single axle dump truck, a rubber tire backhoe, and one project. In 2012, the second generation of the family who is a brother and sister duo purchased the company and set sail. Determined to stay a small business with serious experience and diversity they expanded their training, knowledge, and technology capabilities while retaining and growing a group of highly skilled employees. Today, the company operates a full service retail gravel pit, provides both residential and commercial grading and excavating services, and provides civil work services on communication tower sites across the Upper Midwest.
